Final Reflections on Our Sabbatical Journey
Dear Church,
As we come to the end of our sabbatical, we would like to say how grateful we are for your support in allowing us to take the time to stop and listen to what God is doing in our lives. There are constant demands for our attention, whether through work, ministry, or distractions like social media and the news. But as Psalm 23:2 says, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters." This sabbatical has given us that free time to listen to God more clearly.
Our travels, from the mountains to the beaches, have been filled with appreciation for God’s creation and moments of reflection. We are grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones and friends, and even work through challenging relationships.
This sabbatical has also helped shape our perspective on what it means to be with God. There is so much we want him to do for us and want to do for him, but during this time, we have simply tried to be present with him.
Thank you for your support, love, and prayers during this time. Your friendship means the world to us, and we have been encouraged by your understanding as we took this time to rest, reflect and recharge. We look forward to returning with fresh perspectives, ready to be a part of wherever God leads us next.
