On Saturday, we got together as a men’s ministry for Bros, BBQ and Bibles. It was awesome to eat, hang out, compete and share about how God values friendships.

I find as I get older that it’s harder to keep strong relationships and that I need to focus on them more. I’m so grateful that Jose is coming with me on this trip to Israel. In 2020 I went alone as a form of personal retreat, but   I hope on this trip, as we walk in the same places that David and Jesus and his disciples walked, we will build on a friendship to last a lifetime.

Right now we are on a Greyhound heading to the LA airport. Look forward to sharing more with you soon.

  • 1 Samuel 18:1 After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.
  •  John 15:15 (Jesus to his disciples) I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Reflection: What more could you do to be the friend you truly want to be?
